Telecom Trial with Wind Tre

A New OpenReq realease is being evaluated in the trial.

Wind Tre is one of the five industrial partners participating in the OpenReq project. The aim of this EU-funded project is to provide better requirements engineering to organisations. Industrial partners participate in OpenReq through trials where they test tools developed in the project.

The focus is on data gathered from Twitter

Wind Tre started its trial in October 2018. In the trial, the company focuses on data gathered from Twitter. The goal is to extract customer needs from the data and, ultimately, achieve greater customers satisfaction.

The company is dealing with such issues as filtering what customer feedback is relevant to its product development and clustering similar requirements. It also pays attention to, for instance, such things as how customers prioritise their requirements.

A new OpenReq release is being evaluated in the trial

The trial is proceeding already in November as a new release of the OpenReq tool is now available and shared to the Wind Tre stakeholders. The release is being evaluated in the trial.

In addition to Wind Tre, two academic partners are involved in the analysis of Twitter data. These are the technology transfer centre of the Department of Informatics at the University of Hamburg (HITeC) and Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. (ENG) in Italy.

Wind Tre – the company

Wind Tre is the largest Italian mobile operator and hence a key player in the Italian telecommunication market. The company was born from the merger of the two operating companies H3G S.p.A and Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A. The goal of the company is “to become the most innovative digital Telco with the largest mobile network in Italy”.
